Karnatak University, Dharwad is one of the oldest and most distinguished State Public Universities in Karnataka, with a rich academic heritage spanning more than seven decades. The university was established in October 1949 and formally inaugurated in March 1950 with the vision of promoting higher education, research and intellectual development in the northern region of Karnataka. Located at Pavate Nagar in Dharwad, the university has a large and green campus that provides an enriching environment for academic learning, research and student development.
