Kishkinda University is a private university located in Ballari, Karnataka, established to promote multidisciplinary higher education with a strong focus on applied learning, professional development, research and innovation. The university was established under the Kishkinda University Act, 2022, enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature, with the Act coming into force on 5 August 2023. The university is sponsored by the Thungabhadra Education, Health and Rural Development Trust and has its headquarters in Ballari district. Kishkinda University is designed as a unitary university with an academic focus covering Engineering, Pure Sciences, Arts, Management, Humanities and other interdisciplinary areas. Its academic approach emphasizes contemporary curriculum, practical learning, skill development, research, innovation and industry-oriented education. The university aims to provide students with opportunities to develop professional competencies alongside academic knowledge through laboratory work, projects, experiential learning and research activities. The university's main campus is situated near Sindhigeri in Siruguppa Taluk, while its city office is located on Siruguppa Road in Ballari. Its developing academic ecosystem is intended to provide modern learning infrastructure, laboratories, digital resources, student-support facilities and opportunities for extracurricular and professional development. Research and innovation form an important part of the university's academic objectives.
