NITTE (Deemed to be University) is a multidisciplinary deemed-to-be university located at Deralakatte in Mangaluru, Karnataka. Established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, the university is part of the Nitte Education Trust, an educational group founded in 1979 by Justice K. S. Hegde. NITTE has developed into a comprehensive higher-education institution with a strong focus on professional education, healthcare, research, innovation and socially relevant academic initiatives. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and fellowship programmes across diverse disciplines.
