Kitturu Rani Channamma University (KRCU), formerly known as Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, is a State Public University located at Vidyasangama, Bhutaramanahatti, Belagavi, Karnataka. Established in 2010, the university was created to expand access to quality higher education in the northern Karnataka region and to strengthen academic, research and extension activities in the districts within its jurisdiction. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education across a broad range of disciplines. Its academic departments cover areas such as Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Science, Computer Science, Education, Library and Information Science and other interdisciplinary fields. Current postgraduate offerings include programmes in subjects such as English, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Commerce, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, along with professional programmes such as MBA, MCA and M.P.Ed.
